Albacutya Road Bridge Replacement

The existing 97-year-old Albacutya Road Bridge was de-rated and closed to traffic due to ongoing deterioration of the substructure. As a critical access route for gypsum pits and key link for farmers and residents, the expedited replacement of the bridge was critical.

Working closely with Ace Contractors Group, we provided civil and structural design for the replacement bridge. The new skewed structure features three 20m spans, 9m clear width and an SM1600 load capacity with a 100-year design life. The works also included the design of the road approaches, signage and guard fence and pavement.
